Sleip is excited to announce the renewal of its sponsorship for the 2025 Equine Gait Analysis Society (EGAS) course. This will mark the third consecutive year that Sleip has supported EGAS in delivering advanced post-graduate education to veterinarians on the clinical application of quantitative gait analysis.
EGAS plays a vital role in equipping veterinarians with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply objective gait analysis technology in practice—something that is only now being added to veterinary school curriculums. Sleip, through its AI-powered gait analysis tool, has been at the forefront of translating decades of equine biomechanical research into practical, easy-to-use technology that improves diagnostic precision and treatment outcomes.
"We truly value the work EGAS does to bridge the gap between scientific research and clinical practice," said Axel Nyström, CEO of Sleip.
"By renewing our support for EGAS, we’re committed to furthering the adoption of objective gait analysis in equine care, particularly in the diagnosis and management of lameness, performance monitoring, and rehabilitation."
The EGAS course provides a comprehensive learning experience, featuring five modules hosted across elite veterinary institutions and clinics in Europe. The modules cover everything from the fundamentals of biomechanics to advanced clinical applications of quantitative gait analysis, such as multi-limb lameness evaluation, diagnostic analgesia, and rehabilitation.
In 2025, Sleip will once again offer course participants hands-on access to its gait analysis technology, ensuring they gain real-world experience in capturing and interpreting gait asymmetry measurements.
The 2025 edition of the EGAS course starts in February 2025. The program, lectured by leading academic and clinical experts from around the world, is centred on evidence-based content, offering participants insights into the use of gait analysis in clinical practice.
