Spot the signs. Change the outcome.

A case-based approach to equine osteoarthritis

Equine osteoarthritis is a progressive, long-term condition that rarely follows a linear path. In this collaborative webinar, we take a practical, case-based approach to understanding how equine OA develops, how it responds to intervention and rehabilitation strategies, and how ongoing monitoring can support better clinical decision-making and guide adjustments throughout the course of the disease.

Through real clinical cases presented by Dr. Beau Whitaker and Dr Stefan Cokelaere , we will explore early and subtle signs of OA, discuss treatment and rehabilitation strategies alongside training adaptations, and examine how different management approaches influence outcomes over time.

The session will focus on key clinical decision points:

  • When to treat
  • How to modify workload
  • How to plan and adapt rehabilitation strategies
  • How to evaluate whether an intervention has truly been effective
